Dr. Curtis began her nursing career in October 1980 as a member of I C 15 at The Bahamas School of Nursing after which she served as a Registered Nurse for four (4) years in the medical and surgical areas of the Princess Margaret Hospital. In 1987 to journeyed to Jamaica where she completed both her Bachelors in Nursing and Midwifery studies with honors, at The University of The West Indies; receiving the Barbara Patterson Award for Clinical Excellence for the latter.
Dr. Curtis’ nursing education career began in 1994 at the College of The Bahamas now University of The Bahamas. In the last 27 years she served as a lecturer and now Associate Professor in the Associate of Science, Bachelor of Science, Advanced Medical Surgical and the Midwifery programmes. Additionally, she served as coordinator for the Midwifery programme and a Head of Department for the Allied Health programmes; which includes the Community Nursing, Midwifery, Trained Clinical Nursing and the Pharmacy programmes. She completed her PhD in Nursing in 2011 with a dissertation on Health Empowerment levels of Pregnant Adolescents in The Bahamas. Dr. Curtis is also the founding Vice-president of Midwives Association of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. Currently she serves as treasurer since May 2017. She is a founding member of the Caribbean Regional Midwives Association and now serves as president of since June, 2017.

Dr. Adderley-Smith’s nursing experiences spans almost three decades, inclusive of years as a pediatric intensive care (ICU) emergency, AIDS and transplant care nurse. Highlights of her career since joining SNAHP in 2000, supports a track record for achievement, and a passion for professional growth. She is a faculty that offers exceptional commitment to the advancement of nursing education and has secured professional contacts and ongoing visiting professor positions in China and the United States. A past Chairperson 2015, she has presented in countries in Africa and Europe, with scholarly publications. Her expertise in HIV/AIDS, sexual health, gender and masculinity are well recognized.

Ms. Doreen Butler is a veteran nurse educator with special concentration in the area of Mental Health.

Bridgette Moss-Sherman is the Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services at Doctors Hospital Health Systems. A nurse by profession, she entered the Public Service some thirty-years ago in the Princess Margaret Hospital and the Department of Public Health subsequently rising to the level of Nursing Officer, completing her career with the Public Service as the Coordinator for Trained Clinical Nurse Program at The School of Nursing and Allied Health Professions now University of the Bahamas in 2016.
She began her career with Doctors Hospital in the early 90’s as a Part Time Registered Nurse on the Medical Surgical Unit for three years returning in 2015 as a Nursing Supervisor She was appointed to the position of Assistant Vice President in 2017, Vice President in 2019 and Senior Vice President in 2020.
As Senior Vice President Mrs. Sherman has direct responsibility for all patient care areas within the inpatient setting of the main campus at Shirley Street as well as the Doctors Hospital West Blake Road Facility and the Centerville Medical Center Specialist Clinics, Albany Clinic along with all Emergency Services Departments.
Mrs. Sherman is a devout Anglican and is happily married with two lovely children. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Leadership and Management, a Masters Degree in Business Administration and is currently in the thesis phase of a Doctorate Degree in Health Care Administration.

Mrs. Gina Dean currently has decades of experience in Nursing in The Bahamas. She entered the profession as a Registered Nurse in 1980, later becoming a Registered Midwife in 1986. Dean worked in various capacities and nursing posts at the Princess Margaret Hospital as well as the Sandilands Rehabilitation Centre over the years. She continued to pursue higher learning becoming a Community Health Nurse in 1991 and completing her Masters Degree in Health Administration in 2002. After becoming a CHN and joining the public health team, her work experience included assignments with School Health Services, in numerous clinics throughout the Family Islands, as Nurse Manager of The South Beach Health Center, then coordinator of the Maternal & Child Health Program. After becoming a Principal Nursing Officer, she ascended to the post in which she currently serves, Director of Nursing at The Bahamas Ministry of Health.
