Charmain J St. Remy is a Certified Chartered Accountant - Fellow with The Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, Certified Transformational Leader and a Mentor. She has served in the accounting & finance industry for over 30 years.

Her career as a Certified Accountant spans across both local

and international markets within varying sectors of the business community such as the Insurance Industry, the Television & Radio Media Industry, Training & Events Industry, and the Financial Industry.

She worked as the Financial Consultant on the SFA 2006, EU funded SLU Government project worth over £1mil with the St. Lucia Social Development Fund.

In 2011, she joined the SLUWCU as the very first Accountant and as the organization grew, she became the organizations’ first Financial Controller. During those years, the organizations’ assets grew from XCD$26 mil to XCD$92mil (USD$9.9mil to USD$35mil).

In January 2020 she was offered the role of acting Manager following the retirement of the then manager. One year later St. Remy was confirmed in the position as General Manager which to date she currently holds.

Charmain St. Remy is a Certified Transformational Leader with the International School of Greatness of Canada and currently sits on the Council for the Credit Union Transformation Institute (C.U.T.I). She is a Canadian DE graduate and holds the esteem designation I-CUDE – International Credit Union Development Educator.

She shares her knowledge of Management, Finance and Leadership through Seminars & Workshops for various institutional bodies, businesses community groups and organizations locally and internationally.

As part of her community development involvement, she currently serves as: President of Women on A Mission Outreach Inc. – St. Luca chapter, a US based charity organization which seeks to holistically develop & empowerment women and children. The organization has chapters in Trinidad & Tobago, London, Africa, and Honduras. She serves at her local church as a Minister, president of the ladies’ ministry (Kingdom Women of Influence), and marriage financial counselor.
