The Training Unit of the Department of Public Health will be hosting a 10-day (half-day) workshop for new staff in the department.

Target Audience: Newly graduated nurses in the Department of Public Health

                            Newly employed Registered and Enrolled Nurses

                            Recently  transferred Registered Nurses and enrolled Nurses to the Department                    

                            Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses who have not received formal orientation

                            New Pharmacists

                            New Allied Health Staff

·      To familiarize new staff of the vision, mission, values and goals of the Ministry of Health/Department of Public Health.

·         To appraise new staff of their roles and responsibilities and expectations.

·         To review lines of communication in the Department.

·         To review significant Human Resource matters.

·         To review process for training in the Department.

·         To enhance new staff knowledge about the services offered by the Department and the functions of the specialty areas.

·         To enhance pertinent skills needed by the staff.
