Job Description
This is a year round open position for ongoing recruitment purposes.
ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Atlanta International School (AIS) offers the full International Baccalaureate (IB) continuum to all students, from 3K through grade 12. Our challenging academic programs develop internationally-minded, critical-thinking students able to take complex and often disparate knowledge, concepts and skills, and forge these into new and unique ways of solving problems. We provide a rigorous education in a diverse, multicultural, multilinguistic community where the reality and hope of human potential are in action.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Secondary School is seeking experienced classroom teachers available on an on-call basis to serve as substitute teachers for grades 6-12. The ideal candidates will have strong classroom management skills, familiarity with hands-on teaching practices, relevant experience with middle school students, and the ability to teach multiple academic subjects. The Secondary School is seeking personable and enthusiastic professionals who are inspired by working closely with adolescents. Short and long term assignments are sporadic during the school year.
Substitutes are needed for half day, full day, and extended subbing schedules throughout the school year. We provide substitute teachers with as much advance notice as possible, a lesson plan from the classroom teacher, administrative support, and competitive compensation.
